A memorial to Ohio's Civil War era poet laureate, on the banks of the Cuyahoga between the railroad and Cleveland's newest lift bridge on Columbus Road.

From this spot you can see the Cleveland Aquarium complex, a few ruins of he  Ohio-Erie canal, and a grand old bascule bridge, perhaps the only one on the Flats.

This part of the Flats makes some pretense of being a wildlife refuge.

An abandoned building, that may have been a control center for traffic on the Cuyahoga River, gives a good view of two lift bridges.

The private  deck at Catanese Classic Seafood overlooks the Cuyahoga River and the Center Street drawbridge.  High overhead the Detroit Avenue viaduct carries downtown Cleveland traffic across the Flats.
