Placed in the parish of San Martiño de Covas, Ferrol (province of A Coruña, NW of Spain), there, besides its high cliffs and old coastal batteries now abandoned, it is noteworthy its lighthouse, in operation since 1853. Located at an elevation of 107 m above sea level, it has a height of 7 m and a range of 22 nautical miles. It was electrified and modernized in 1974, thus replacing the clockwork installed in 1923 and the petroleum light system it had since 1902. The photo is taken from the flag carrier.
