大崗山海拔312公尺，小崗山海拔252公尺，都是遠古的珊瑚礁石隆起而成。大崗山寺庵與岩洞多，有「台灣佛山」之稱，整座山頭舉目所望皆是農民種植的果樹，尤以龍眼樹居多，龍眼花蜜更已成為大崗山的聞名特產。小崗山立於阿公店水庫旁，俯瞰水庫及附近城鎮風光，景色秀麗。小崗山稜線上有一塊凸出的礁石，形如古人的官帽，當地居民以其形象稱為「紗帽石」，又因狀似一座龐大的沙發或神龕，故又稱為「皇帝座」，目前有登山步道可供探幽覓勝。
