Portmeirion - Battery Square
Wales

Portmeirion was designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village.

Portmeirion has served as a filming location for numerous films and television shows, but it's major claim to fame has to be it's portrayal as "The Village" in the 1960s television show The Prisoner, which starred the late Patrick McGoohan as "Number 6".

In The Prisoner, Battery Square's "Siop Bach" (Little Shop) plays the part of the Village's General Stores where Number 6 attempts to buy a map of the area in the episode "Arrival".
