在薈萃樓後方臨菩提大道的樓房，為建築學系與工業設計學系的系址：「之安館」。取名「之安」，語出<孟子>離婁章句下：「君子深造之以道，欲其自得也。自得之，則居之安；居之安，則資之深；資之深，則取之左右逢其原。故君子欲其自得也。」要有高深的造詣，要用正確的治學方法，深入到所研究的學問中，才能默識心通，自然的領會，心裡能安定地處在求學問之中，並作為行事的憑藉，取用起來左右逢源。教育方向當固本尋源，而非臨渴掘井。
