"West" - the three-masted schooner sailing-motor. Monument to the north wooden sailing ships at the State Museum of the Northern Sea in Arkhangelsk. 

History 

Built in 1949 in Finland and transferred to the Estonian Shipping Company, where the goods are carried and used as a training ship. 

Later transferred to the Northern Shipping Company (Arkhangelsk), used for the carriage of goods and passengers through Umba - Kandalaksha, then transferred to the port of Naryan-Mar. 

In 1953 he transferred to Arkhangelsk Marine College, which it has done an internship students Nautical School of the USSR, flights were made in the White and Barents Seas. 

Was used in the film "Georgy Sedov" (1974). 

In 1980, converted into a museum. 

In 1983, installed on the pier as a monument to the Red romantic era of sailing ships and the symbol of the first port of Russia - Arkhangelsk. 

In 1993, the schooner was certified monument Science and Technology Association of Science and Technology Museums of the Russian National Committee of the International Council of Museums. 

In July 1998, a gust of strong wind all three mast schooners were broken. 

In 2005, removed from the list of museum exhibits the Maritime Museum and became the object of the real estate on the balance of the museum. 

At the moment, is in critical condition while waiting for restoration.
