The town of Killarney (Cill Airne) is located on the north eastern shore of Lough Leane. From here you can make many most beautiful trips to the Killarney National Park. Ross Castel is a keep with a huge tower house that was built in the 15th century on the shores of Lough Leane for the O’Donoghue clan. From Ross Castle you can take boat tours on the lakes of Killarney National Park.
