Baroque religious monument, dating from the 18th century, was built on the site of a hermitage from the end of the 13th century, with the same name. This would have annexes a hospital and a hostel that, in 1614, were absorbed by Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Leiria.

14th century - construction of the primitive Chapel that gave rise to this church; the old Chapel had a Hostel and a Hospital and was built next to the walls of the fence of the Convent of Santa Ana;

18th century - construction of the current temple.
