「新太陽谷」位於烏山頂泥火山至雞冠山的途中，距離太陽谷約2公里，是一個形態完整的泥岩惡地形，亦有「嫦娥谷」之稱。新太陽谷可清楚看到因雨水侵蝕所造成的蝕溝，蝕溝又不斷受雨水加深侵蝕而形成瘦脊，奇形怪狀的模樣，實為大自然的鬼斧神工 。
