Hall of Sculptures

The Pavilion of the sculptures is located in an inner courtyard, surrounded by statues and sculptures that live in harmony with the natural environment and with a special charm.

There are several legends about centenarians that roam the land where now stands the Hotel.


One, that the Hotel was built on an Indian burial ground, and later, around 1600, Doña Catalina de los Rios and Lisperguer, known as The Quintrala, owner of the Knights Company, came to tour their land at night dragging her long dress, carrying in one hand a candle and in the other a bundle that left as offerings on the graves of the Indians that at any minute he served as slaves.


Before dying, the Quintrala decided to donate these extensive lands to the Jesuit religious order, as a way to wash away their sins. For its part, the Jesuits, jealously guarded and hid all the treasures of the cemetery all indications, and to prevent looting, decided to open the fences of the hills and let the lions down from pre ridge to guard such secrets.
