The Sopot Monastery of Saint Spas, also known as the Ascension of the Lord, is a Bulgarian Orthodox monastery in the Plovdiv Eparchy of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. Situated approximately 1 km north of the town of Sopot, at the foot of the Balkan Mountains, on the left bank of the Manastirska River, the monastery stands 5 km away from Karlovo, 19 km from Kalofer, and 140 km from Sofia.
