TEMPLE-MONUMENT OF SANTA LUZIA Imposing granite temple dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, its construction started in 1904. It opened to worship on August 22, 1926, after the death of its author the architect Miguel Ventura Terra. However, the works on the exterior of the temple were not completed until the end of 1943 and those on the interior in 1959.
