In this room are assembled pieces of furniture, painting, ceramics and some metal objects, which help to conceive what would be an aristocratic environment of the 17th century. The sobriety and sturdiness characteristic of national furniture (the cupboard made of oak) are combined with the simplicity of blue and white ceramics, which sought to reproduce in porcelain the Chinese porcelain that flowed into the great ships of the Indian career. The portraits represent Lourenço Rebelo (1610-1661), court musician of D. João IV, António Caetano de Sousa (1674-1759 and Diogo Barbosa Machado (1682-1722), renowned scholars.
