Wellington is the capital of New Zealand – and it is the world’s southernmost capital of a sovereign state. The nick name is Windy Wellington. Wellington is also an important hotspot of tourism, art and culture. Te Papa Tongarewa is the national museum of New Zealand. The museum is a “container of treasures” for the cultural heritage of the country. The building was designed by Jasmax Architects – it was opened in 1998.
