瀰濃庄敬字亭位於美濃區，是當地最早興建的敬字亭座，然而建造年代眾說紛紜，以1769年最盛，曾於1895年與日軍交戰時毀損，後修繕完成並保存至今。敬字亭造型簡單古樸，為中空六邊形的三層式磚塔，亭基現奉祀倉頡等神位，中層作焚化字紙之用，上層亭身則以圖案裝飾，客家人以焚燒字紙取得代表聖蹟的紙灰，再置於創字始祖倉頡牌位前，表達對文字崇敬之意。敬字亭的設置與建造見證客家族群「敬惜字紙」的態度，也反映出美濃文風鼎盛的社會風氣。
