中正湖原稱中圳埤，面積大約２１公頃，是美濃地區的特色景點，也是高雄重要的人工湖。西北傍山的中正湖水域、地域巧妙結合，走在幽靜湖岸便能親近湖水，日出、日落之際，日光輝映綠萍點綴之湖面，美不勝收。林蔭湖邊處處可見自行車、行人，也吸引紅冠水雞、夜鷺，和大量冬候鳥等鳥類進駐，湖中並有一古典造型涼亭供行人歇息、觀景。
